Niagara Falls, New York

Wow! Niagara Falls was beautiful! It was a perfect, sunny fall day and we explored the park with the dogs and walked around Goat Island. From the US side you are mostly on top of the falls and so you don't get a dead on view. There was a bridge that walked over to the Canadian side so we took the walk and really had a much better view of the falls (Canadians have it better). When we were driving to it there was what appeared to be a bunch of smoke in the air but it ended up being the mist from the falls. Pretty amazing. Rainbows all around. There is a garden on the US side that is shaped like the Great Lakes. Neat landscaping. We camped in Hemrick, NY at the base of the Adirondack State Park on a river. It was amazingly pretty. The town is known for mining "diamonds" (quartz).
