Unfortunately, there isn't much to say for this entry ...
If you read my last entry, you will already know that I spent about a month in Germany. I was on my way to the Balkans, and after a month of training, we took a big double decker bus south, deep into the heart of Europe. One of the many stops was in Austria. Honestly though folks, there isn't much to say ... it was a drive through at best. We did stop a few times at some rest stops and we did cruise right through Vienna ... but it was more of a day trip type thing. Driving by the city only made me long to go there more. Knowing we were passing by all that history, art, culture, music and so on ... well, what can I say? It felt like a crime to just zip through town like that!
The mountains and the landscape were also so very beautiful ... it's no wonder Austria is a vacationer's paradise, especially for those who love to ski! The Alps off in the distance were gorgeous ... but again ... like everything else in this post ... it was nothing but a drive by. Maybe one day my journeys will bring me back to Austria.
Until then, all I can do is watch Arnold Schwarzeneggar movies and dream! ;)
