(C) I can't believe Sara wasn't even going to visit this with me. We spent a very long day driving from Hungary and didn't stop until we got to Plitvice. We had a "little episode" in Zagreb where I almost got out of the car and left Sara, gear and car sitting in a parking lot, BUT, we made up and found our way across the mountains to Plitvice, the home of my gypsy relatives. What a strange and beautiful place tucked away so far from everything, right in the shadow of the Bosnian mountains. We didn't have time to cross over into Bosnia, but we will on our next trip!
(S) Ahhh...where Chad changed the plan. We had planned on staying in Zagreb for the last 3 weeks, but when we got there and were looking for a campground, someone (who is of gypsy ancestory) got upset and said he didn't want to be here but needed to drive further south to get closer to his gypsy roots. So on we drove...
Plitvice is truly a beautiful place. But, it's definitely frequented by the former Yugoslavia version of rednecks.
