(S) Ok, ok. So we're still not caught up. In fact, if you've been following along, you now know we skip around on our entries as well. Don't worry - it's the Italian way. To be honest, we could have skipped the whole Pisa entry all together, but we're a slave to our adoring blog fans. And the pictures were not too bad, which are much more enjoyable than our subpar writing skills anyway. Oh, and it was a trip of firsts.

First, it was our first day trip out of the city. Cue the band (and seriously, what have we been doing for 2 weeks?). Secondly, it was my first trip on a European train (nearly as nice as the DC Metro). Woohoo!

I had been to Pisa before with my high school girls (hi, ladies!) but it was in the middle of June and crawling with tourists. I also wanted Chad to hear the amazing acoustics in the Baptistry. Lucky for all people in the Baptistry that day, Chad fought the urge to sing himself. A poor girl from the US was not so lucky in a quiet Baptistry a month later in Volterra, but we'll get to that (probably in April).

We managed to take the obligatory obscene tower photos, which we will spare everyone. Except Rug, who actually requested them before we went, and Trish, who just likes that sort of thing.

'Nuf said. Enjoy the pictures! Sara out.
