We spent the afternoon on the beach fighting with the clouds. Spent some time swimming in the shallow lagoon. Went to dinner in town - which ultimately turned out to be a pizza place. Not bad, but we're getting so close to Bodrum that the tourist trade is taking over the accommodation spirit. Seems just a bit like Ft. Lauderdale. We'll just spend one night here because it's raining.
(C) Well, this beach must be one of the coolest places in Turkey when it's not raining. Sadly, this was one of Sara's destinations and we made the very best effort of it. We charted around for the best camping for awhile, finally settling on a place that wasn't too overloaded with permanent caravans and had "new" shower facilities, etc. It also has a really nice restaurant and beach. So in those terms, it's a nice place. Problem is that the weather sucks and the shower facility is under construction, so that means there aren't basic amenities like, um, shower curtains, mirrors, hot water, etc. The camping is ok. We have a nice level spot and the beach isn't too far away. The restaurant seems nice, but frankly, the whole deal is kind of shot because we can't get a hot shower and it's raining...
