(S) Don't worry. We're still in Romania. This Peles (pronounced Pelesh) Castle just reminds me strongly of the castles we found with Karl in Germany. It's beautiful. But no pictures inside so sorry. The rain must have waited for us while we were in the States and has rejoined us on our travels. We missed it. It missed us. Happy homecoming.

Oh - and ya, I'm hungover like nobody's business. I want to die. The fresh air and rain are helping. Mildly. I might die.

A word about our tour guide inside Peles Castle - he was strange. Like maybe was bitten by Dracula a few too many times. I wouldn't turn my back on him. I think he feasts on small school children after hours.
Which was a perfect lead-up to our next stop...

(C) Peles is amazing.  I think it's my new favorite castle.  It also think it might be under a garbage moratoria because there wasn't any.  This was strange after driving up off the Brasov-Bucurest highway where the river is literally drowning in human waste (well, not that kind of waste), but you get to Peles and it is so clean and beautiful.  Well done Romania.  Keep up the effort.

And here's a word to you American environmentalists.  I have a new idea.  When you complain about the "most endangered" this or that in America, calling ANWR America's "Serengeti" or Wyoming's Green River valley the most endangered critical antelope winter habitat, we are going to send you to Romania to pick up trash.  This country has a REAL problem George Soros and you waste your money hiring college student to fly about protesting the IMF.  Enviros, your intentions are good, but your application in America sucks.  Please do some good where the world needs it and I nominate Romania - where there must be a billion tons of trash on the roads, in the rivers, and across the countryside.  They obviously haven't seen the Indian crying commercial yet.  Please apply for work here.
