Arrived in Manta 2 days ago. My internet friend has turned into a real friend. She picked me up at the airport. Her Beachhouse hostel on Santa Marianita Beach is quite a place.There are two apartments in the lower level she rents out. A bunkhouse in the back. Upstairs is her personal room and communal area (kitchen, bathroom with big shower) There also 2 more bedrooms on the top floor that share a kitchen/livng room. Just opened is the Donkey Den Cafe out in front on the beach. You hear the waves constantly crashing on the beach. It's the most mellow place to stay. It feels like home. Its not humid here. There is a constant wind. So far it's been sunny. I've made some new friends. Today I took a long walk down the coastline where I have seen this giant rock from a distance. I was determined to get to it today. Will post my pics and hopefully a vid of my excursion. Tomorrow off to Canoa.
