Colonia del Sacramento which is its full name (Colonia for short) is a cute little port town with winding cobblestone streets, funky little restaurants and shops and gorgeous river views. The Portuguese founded the port in 1680 to smuggle goods across into Buenos Aires. The Spanish captured it in 1762 and held it though 1777.

The whole town was filled with vintage cars from 1940 though 1960, I got some good photos. We watched the sun set drinking "Cleric" which is a local drink of white wine and fruit juice on ice, very good.
