In order to make our way south to get the train to Hampi (our next location) we made a move to South Goa beach of Benaulim.  This is the closest beach to the city of Margao which you take the train east into the center of the country.

Benaulim is much different from Arambol in the amount of people and age (less and older). Many people we met were from England, Germany, Sweden or Russia and come down year after year to get away from the winter in Europe. So the whole town knows each other and many of the restaurants and locals have seen the same people for many years.

We went into Margao to purchase our train tickets, so took some pictures of the market.  In the news here is the price of eggs which have increased daily, so the guy had to change his sign (making it a chalkboard). During, December the price went up 12% in one month!
