Found a private cab "aka" that means a person with a car to take us the 1 hour drive up the coast to what we were told by some Brits as a nice beach town. Arambol got is first intro into the western world with the 1960’s and the long-haired, long-stayers of that era. Many as we found have never left and are now 60 to 70 years old and still think that the world is just the same. Others are the “new” young who think they came up with “smoking, drinking and rock & roll” in there lifetime. With yoga centers and workshops to find your inner-peace!

We liked the town for the food, for many weeks and now months it has been Indian, morning, noon, and night. Now coffee, ice cream, apple pie, salads, fish- we were non-veg, non-Indian all the time! Water was nice temperature, nice sand with chairs and umbrellas.
