We made our way on a day trip to a small mountain village called Lohagari. It is not listed in any guide books I could find, our driver said he was told about it some years back as an interesting place to see. So we took the 30 mile (45km) drive to find an very different world then we have not seen since our visit Varanasi.
As I show in the video, each day the village people come up for there daily bath. Man on one side, woman on the other, after which they change their clothes and go to the temple to pray. The day we were there it was “feed the monkey day” in which the locals purchase food for the monkeys who represent the Monkey God.
I have added to the entry pictures of some of the great doors and wall paintings from a few temples and homes and pictures of Darcy & I at our hotel. The hotel was a former palace that has been converted.

Sooo colorful. Such artistry. It seems the only country where every thing is beige, brown or grey is the USA. Love the housing associations, huh?
