One flight a day direct, non-stop from Panama City to Washington 4 hours, 48 minutes in the air. Sounds great, the only problem landing at 1:00 am in the morning!  Pick-up bags and go though US Customs, cab home by 3:00 am. But compared to our past trips this was not an issue. Some the summary of our voyage is:

We return home after:

--- 5 Months
--- 8 Counties
--- 27 Different Hotels
--- 21 Different Cities

We have now traveled on four (4) "Odysseys" - South America, Southeast Asia, Southern Africa and Central America for a total of 29 Counties, 194 Cities, 74,443 miles (119,805 km). To give you a feel for the distance of our travels the circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,901 miles (40,075 km)!

I hope that those of you who read my postings and review the pictures and videos enjoyed them. No plans yet as to our next trip, but there will be one in the fall of this year.

Welcome home!!!! We've really enjoyed reading of your travels. We're keeping all the blogs so that we can look up hotels, etc. for any travels we may take South of the border.

Darcy, it must feel wonderful to be able to finally change into some other clothes for a change!! You told me how few items you carried along.
Hope you keep in touch with us!!!!!
