Where I stayed
We made Quepos our "home base" for a few weeks, based on its good location to the beach and the activities in the town. It was very easy to take the bus which goes from downtown to the entrance to the park and beach for a $1 each way (check out the change set-up on the photo). The drive takes about 15 minutes and runs all day and into the late evening.
The first video shows a parade held in town to celebrate "the horse" and its place in daily life. Music, dance and about 100 or so horses came from the area to show their stuff. The second video shows "coconut man" opening up one for Darcy, they are really good and cold for a hot day at the beach.
On Saturday they have a market with local produce for sale--mangos, papayas, melon, peppers, beans, carrots and many other items. As you can see this was very popular with the locals to shop for a weeks supply at a much lower price than at the supermarket. I liked many of the colors of the items for sale at the local stalls, which I think made interesting pictures.
The write-up on the hotel was completely off in our opinion. Staff great, room was nice and clean, TV (US networks) air-con and pool.

Hello nice travelers,
I am every time surprised by the quality of pictures you both make. It is beautiful. I hope you have a nice stay in Quepos which is still a pretty local town in Costa Rica with reasonable prices and the real Costa rican local touch. Enjoy your stay Gerardus Dirks, Granada, Nicaragua
