We caught a shuttle directly from Antigua, Guatemala to this small surf town on the Pacific coast of El Salvador (that's what they told us when we purchased our ticket). Should have been a 4 hour ride, turned into a 3 stops and 7 hours later - we were there!
The travel books call this the "best surf town" in the country, we called it--to small and not much to do. But we made the best of it - sitting around the hotel pool and beach, reading, eating and drinking. The pictures look much better than the location really was (never trust pictures).

It's 20 degrees here with a wind chill of 7. Somehow "too small and not much to do" looks glorious to me!
es lamejor de las playas para el surf
I always travel to El Salvador, but haven't been at this place. Thanks for posting since it looks like a nice and peaceful spot to enjoy and relax I will add it to my to visit list!
