A new ferry was started just last month from Mexico directly to Ambergris Caye, Belize.  So we had a change in plans and did not bus over to Belize, but went directly to its famous island and capital San Pedro.  The ferry ride (see first video) took about 1-3/4 hours and costs about $30USD. The island is about 40 kilometers (25 mi) long from north to south, and about 1.6 kilometers (1 mi) wide.  The main attractions are the Belize Barrier Reef and its beaches. That barrier reef is the second largest in the world, after the Great Barrier Reef of Australia.

The second video is very funny, on Wednesday nights they play a bar game called "The Famous Belize Chicken Drop." They have a big net around a bingo like board with numbers from 0 to 99 (not in order).  You go in the bar and pick your numbers $1 each (each number can only be picked once on that round).  After they sell all 100 numbers (which takes about 1/2 hour) it is time for the Chicken Drop!  Someone, (in the video it is our star Darcy) picks up the chicken out of its basket and places it on the board.  The chicken walks around the board at the same time the crowd all drinking and calling their number.  When the chicken drops (you know what I mean) on a number, that person with the number wins $100 dollars and has to clean-up the drop!  It was great fun, but we did not win.

Each morning we stopped after our daily walk at the "Sail Away Cafe" to have a cup of some of the best cappuccino we have had so far on the trip. So I asked "Chino" to act in a video (third Video) of the making of a great cup of cappuccino.  Other pictures are of the coming to the island on the ferry, and walking around the town.
