Semonkong Lodge
We next drove on mostly gravel and dirt roads for about five hours to what could be call the middled of know where, Semonkong! But it was the place of The mighty Maletsunyane Falls, one of the highest single dropping waterfalls in Africa, creates a haze of smoke as the water plummets 186 meters into a spectacular gorge. It is from this smoke that Semonkong - The Place of Smoke - gets its name. We took a 6 hour hiking trek to see the falls and the local village and chief. The chief cooked us a lunch, she maybe a good chief but a bad cook!
