Camping day 15
Today we cross over into Botswana and our 21st and last country of the trip.
We had a good run to the border, but then it all went wrong, it was Sunday and there was a huge queue at the Namibian boarder post, and again an even bigger queue at the Botswana boarder post, eventually we all got our stamps and we headed off into Botswana, we think there was a good deal of queue jumping and pushing in, but we couldn't prove it as it was all such a big mosh of people.
Next day we met the San Bushmen and women who were going to take us for a walk in the bush to show us some of their traditional uses of plants and other skills like fire making by rubbing sticks together. I must say it was quite amazing and a real privilege to be able to walk in the bush with these people and see how they find and use the plants. One of the plants they use is a huge bulb that grows under the ground and they use it to get water when there is a drought, it was amazing how much liquid came out of the bulb when they grated it and squeezed it.
