After an early breakfast we took off to the airport (just a little later than i would have liked) with 1 hour and 15 mins until our flight departure and we had a 20 min drive assuming the traffic was kind.
Well we got to the airport at 08:15 and had a mad dash to find the checkin desk and get to the gate. There was a young lad that saw us dashing about and he helped us find the desk and managed to get us to jump the check in queue, so we made it ok, and the young lad got 50 rand tip (about £5) for helping (think he is onto a good thing there helping people who look like they are panicking).
We are now in our hotel in Cape Town, we have 2 nights here then we set off in a hire car along the south coast and see how far we get. It's going to be good getting back into a car again it has been a long time since i have driven.
Sorry there are no pictures yet, will update blog when we have a good internet connection, I am using a USB modem and a Vodacom sa sim , it was 200 rand for 600 mb, which is quite dear.

good to see you have found us again, seems so long ago we were in NZ with you, now it's just Southafrica Zimbabwe Botswana and Namibia then it's back to England.
