Where I stayed
Today was our very last day in Japan. It was a funny bus ride as we approached the airport and they started unloading luggage. We were joking that perhaps they wouldn't unload ours yet. OR maybe we can hide in the bathroom. But alas, we saw our bags and we knew our time here was over.
There are only a few occasions in your life when you realize that you are doing something life-changing or something that you know will always remain with you. This trip was one of those times for us.
Korea and Japan were places that truly made us appreciate the things we are able to see and experience in life. Nay, it made us feel truly alive.
In Korea, I felt like I learned so much about a country and culture that I knew so little of. By the time I had left, I had gained a true appreciation for its passion.
Meanwhile, Japan was a place I had longed to visit, and many times, when you picture something in your consciousness for such a long time, when you actually see it you are disappointed at its reality. This is one such time where what I envisioned not only met my expectation, it surpassed it in spades.
I was also lucky enough to experience this adventure with a person that appreciates it as much as I do and who always adds a measure of wit, spontaneity, and excitement to whatever I do with her in my life.
Hopefully to our friends who read this they can join us someday in another adventure, or have journeys of their own with knowledge they can use from ours...
