When in a company of a basketball team with an average age of about 18, even the management (of about 33) feels young and all behave like puppies. Then, in such a company, one does not notice how young is the population around in the host town. You may not like statistics, but it is worth the while to say that about 21% of the Saskatooners are under the age 14 (no typo: fourteen) while the oldies (those over 65 of age) are half that size. It does not mean that the air is bad. Probably, with age, people tend to opt for mellower climates.
Saskatoon is obviously very much known by the Saskatchewan river and the films or books about Indians.
We played against the senior team of Saskatchewan University selection and were treated with a special dinner in one of the many, excellent, restaurants. They take food very seriously here.
Now a tip: we were lucky to reside in Saskatoon between their scorching summer (blistering 40 Celsius in shade is nothing surprising) and the freezing winters (murderous -40 Celsius) which makes Saskatchewan apt to be a real "live" laboratory for whatever experiments one may think of.
