Hello all,

Well, we are leaving Arezzo in about an hour, so I decided to write a blog to say Ciao.  The time here has been great.  I've seen a lot of performances and made some new friends.  I am continually surprised how young artist continue to inspire to do what I do.  I know I will not be able to dance forever, but I know I will have the knowledge to teach what my mentors and my colleagues have taught me.  And I think thats what I've seen here, is how important the teachers mean to their students.  In particular this theater group from Dublin, Ireland.  The kids just adore him and look to him for advice not only in their field but in life.  It was nice to watch him coach and just interact with his students.

I don't think I explained in my earlier blogs that I came here as part of a summer study abroad program for college students, that lead into the Arezzo Festival.  So, kids from the U.S. came here for five weeks to study either dance, film, or theater.  My friend Scott runs the dance portion of the program.  And they asked if his company would come perform this year, and thats how I got this gig.  Not only did I dance, but I got to teach as well.  I guess you can use this as a disclaimer now.  HA!!!!

Overall, I had a great time.  The city is beautiful, the people are beautiful, the food is amazing, the shopping I'm certainly not going to complain about...But the most important thing is how much the city and probably the country loves the arts.  Again, I wish that all my friends and family could have been here to see this.

Today, we are off to Rome!

Ciao!
