Wow, What a truly wonderful experience. We will forever remember this historic inauguration. After departing the National Mall, we headed back to Jeffrey and Tiffany's home for our final goodbyes hoping to get a jump start on the crowds leaving the Washington, DC area after the big event. There was so much talk about the possibility of massive traffic jams leaving the area, that we thought it best to leave early. We were right to do so because we experienced smooth travel on our 5-hour trip back to Raleigh. And what a surprise we had when we reached Raleigh and discovered that it had snowed a few days earlier. It was surely cold enough.

All was well when we arrived at the house. Cynthia, Anthony and Jarvis are due back tomorrow, but we'll be gone by the time they arrive.

It's hard to believe that it is done. We have a new President, and with great anticipation and hope we wait to see what will become of this change that was promised. I guess he can do whatever he likes, right. After all he is now the President of The United States Of America. Who just happens to be African-American.
