We left Lima yesterday after seeing the museo de La Nacion which was a good overview of all the different cultures in Peru. Then we jumped on a nice bus that drove us to Ica, a town about 300 km south of Lima. The trip was supposed to last about 3 hours but 5 hours and multiple stops to let all kinds of street vendors get on later, we finally arrived.

We took a cab to Huacachina, a little oasis town nearby. The hotel we decided to go to only had one room left so we are sharing it with a girl from Israel who we met on the bus. She is fun. The evening started pretty well with an all you can eat BBQ and lots of Pisco sour. It was a really fun night.

Today was a bit slower because Seth apparently didnīt get along with the Pisco sours so well and has a case of the revenge of Mazatlan going... Pedialite helps.
We first went to Ica to change money and then we went to a little museum. It was really interesting to see the mummies with their deformed heads. They thought that cone heads are beautiful and used to deform their babiesīheads. Looks pretty weird! After that we spent the day by the pool reading and getting a tan. Later we walked up the giant sand dune behind the hotel. It was absolutely beautiful to see the sun set on the dune field!

Another great day!
