Where I stayed
We Said:
Travel in India can be an all-out assault on your senses and patience. If you want to keep your wits about you and be able to really appreciate all you are experiencing, every once in a while you have to take a break to just veg out to give your brain a respite. We decided to take a short "vacation from India" on the way from Varanasi to Jodhpur. We took an overnight train to Agra and then used points to stay in the plush Mughal Sheraton a second time. From the time we arrived yesterday morning until departing this afternoon, we didn't leave the room. Yup...pretty much did nothing other than watch sitcom reruns on TV, eat room service hamburgers, and enjoy the unlimited hot water with great pressure!!! We checked out this afternoon ready to jump back into the fray. Just visited a site we missed last time, the Agra Fort, and soon we will be catching another overnight train west to Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan.
