When originally booking this trip and flying via KL to Denpasar (Bali), i was considering a stopover in KL for a couple of days. After consideration, i thought this would be more tiring than just flying straight through.Plus it would have been an additional $300 for the pleasure... which i couldn't really justify.

Well, King of delays here, and as it turned out i spent about 7 hours in Bangkok airport, before eventually flying on to KL. Once I arrived in KL, i discovered that my bags had been removed to the lost luggage area, so a pursuit followed to get things back...and with tiredness kicking in, it was hard to think straight.
Still after sorting that, changing my tickets, and getting through immigration and customs... i was residing in the Concorde hotel, near the airport.
The bed it provided came as a great pleasure, and the buffet for dinner and breakfast were more than substantial... the whole idea of having a selection of Curries for breakfast, was even beyond my stomach at 7am !!
I had finished dinner by 8pm and decided i would go on the KLIA Express...a 70 km journey completed in 28 minutes on a lovely train... It cost 5 quid each way, but allowed me to see the Petronas towers. They really look amazing from the outside...and the grounds with the dancing fountains really are refreshing...

It was just a shame that the sky bridge closes at 5pm, so i could only view from the ground up, rather than look over the city. Still at least i managed to see it, and then get home in time for some well earned sleep.
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, and the chance to catch up with my original itinery, albeit a day late.
