On Tuesday morning Ruth and Ed drove us to their home in Newcastle. On the way we stopped at Entrance to see their hotel. Entrance is a resort town about one hour from Newcastle. After lunch we headed to their condo which is located on the harbour. While staying with them they took us on a picturesque drive along the coast. The following day the four of us headed to wine country, Hunter Valley. Another picturesque drive. Beautiful countryside. And, of course, we sampled some excellent Australian wine. Ruth and Ed were exceptional hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them, especially getting to know Ed better as we had only met him once in Schomberg in 1987. Next stop - Cairns, Queensland.
