One of the great things about the Jungfrau region as a tourist destination is the fact that you can purchase train tickets that take around the entire region. In winter the tickets are incorporated with your ski and snow sports pass which makes the value even better.
In order to take advantage of this, we took a day to travel to the towns of Wengen, Murren and Gimmelwald.
All of these are great little towns with alot of charm but the highlights were Murren, for its revolving restaurant with a panoramic view of the entire region and tiny Gimmelwald.
Gimmelwald is a farming town of 150 people. It has a single one-room school house and looks pretty much like a farm throughout most of the town.
The pics tell the story.
