Our first town in China - although it is Tibet really. There are 2 parts Chinese and Tibetan - I enjoyed both. an old town with monastery, castle and a great Tibetan market. Just here for a couple of nights which is good as the hotel room is freezing much colder than outside.

Our Tibetan guide took us to the monastery which made it much more interesting than if we had gone on our own.

Monastry

He was able to answer all the questions about buddhism etc. We all had great fun at the market some people are shameless with the bargining - they could really get the prices down. I always stop where I think I have a good price but it seems I always pay too much.
