Great friends make life great and our good friends Mike and Pat B are two of the best. We had been planning a stop to see M&P on our trip south for months, but their opportunity for a business trip overseas with some touring mix in nearly put the 'kobanch' on those plans. We would be arriving several days before their return. But with the hospitality this couple is known for, we were invited to stay in their lovely Hilton Head home when we arrived. Mike and Pat arrived back tied but happy from Europe on the third night we were there. We had a great time, ate well, played golf and enjoyed a some great nights in a 'real bed'. Thanks to both of them.

By Saturday Dec 15, we hoped to catch the last day of good weather and re-start our trip south to Palm Beach. So that morning, Mike got up at 0600 to make us french toast and thick bacon....what a guy. Thanks for a great time. So by 0800 we made our way out the lock at Windmill Harbor. The weather forecast was deteriorating so we again made our way south on the ICW.
