Got to Calgary with not much time to spare as we had to do the almost strip-down to get through US customs, just to change flights in Chicago.
Landing in Chicago was a new experience for us as we had to do a fly around after the first attempt at landing; the pilot overshot the runway because the crosswind was too strong.
It was so windy they were only using 2 runways for landing. We only had about an hour to change flights and we had to change terminals. Thankfully, we didn't have to worry about luggage and the airport wasn't very busy.
Landed in Munich 1 pm. It took us a while to get the shuttle to our hotel as all the signs are in German. We walked through the airport to the next terminal before finding an information desk, then couldn't make a phone call by following English directions because the responses on the phone were in German. Had to go back to the info desk and have them call for us.
We are just going to find the bus into Munich city centre to check out the most famous beer hall in the world the "Hofbrauhaus". Write soon!
