Bavaria anyone?

Arrived in Munich just before 7am on the night train from Prague...after a quick shower, we grabbed sandwhiches at a little shop and hopped on a train, then a bus to Dachau...


Dachau was the one of the first concentration camps and the 'model' for all to follow...

Barracks/Bunkers... built for 6,000 and held over 30,000 (thats about 5 to every cubicle)
      

Security- 8 inch think stone wall, 10 meters track, 12 foot barbed fence, 10 meter ditch (lined with barbed wire), followed by 20 meters of grassy lawn... any prisoner who stepped foot on lawn was shot.

Off to the market....before the train to Austria!
 

**After Dublin, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, & Munich...I will be ready to put down the beer stein and pick up a wine glass!!!
