(Shawn...you said you wanted lots of Prague pics...here you go)
Arrived in Prague late afternoon, checked into U Medviku Hotel- a brewer from the 1400s and one of the originators of Budvar (nothing like its watered down namesake Budweiser)

Dinner at U Medviku's Beer Garden.

(late night internet in the lobby!!!)

(Woke up to the most horrific smell of my life- still don't know what it was but I know I wont be eating any sausage for a long time)
Decided to do an English Walking Tour to get the most of this place. Met four college kids- 2 guys from University of Florida, off to law school in the fall, and 2 girls from Marquette.

New Town (Nove Mesto): Wenceslas Square- horse statue
National Museum

Memorial for 2 students who burned themselves to death in this square in to stand up against Soviet/Communist rule in 1969

Hotel Europa- Tom Cruise stayed her while filming Mission Impossible... even the crazy Czechs know he crazy!!!

Old Town (Stare Mesto): Cobblestone pedestrian walk (was the site of the 7 meter ditch dug to keep the poor working class in New Town separated from the aristocrats in Old Town)

Mozart's Don Giovonni was written/performed here
Charles University, 1345 (oldest in Eastern Europe)

Clock Tower in Old Town Square (video coming soon?)

Jewish Quarter: the walls of this synagogue have the names of all the Czech Jews killed during the Holocaust. Upstairs are drawings from several of the 8,000 Czech children that were killed.
Prague Castle......................and the view from it!!!

Changing of the Czech Guards...
(way better than the one at Buckingham Palace... these dudes were cracking up!)

Oldest foundation in the Czech Republic (around 800AD)

Saint Vitus Cathedral (St. Vitus was boiled in oil- hence the 'St. Vitus Dance')

Our crazy Czech tour guide

11 hour Night Train to Munich....(SOOOOO happy to be leaving, sorry Shawn!)
