The day started with a light persistent knock on the door. It was room service delivering our standing order for a picture of water. After accepting delivery I remained awake and stepped into the shower, while JoRina drew the curtains and ordered coffee and tea. We (she) got caught up with football and considered the day ahead. The sun shone with some cloud cover, while the wind provided a awareness that we are seafarers as we pressed forward at 22 knots sailing parallel to the coast of Africa towards the equator.
I went off to a lecture about neck pain and we met up for lunch before dance lessons. One two cha-cha-cha, one two ouch- ouch-ouch-ouch! And again. After that bit of fun we hunkered down to work and homework for a few hours. I uploaded some pictures to this blog as well taking advantage of the strong connection close to the computer lab. Finding no friends to speak with I sat quietly to read and write in the Commodore Club with a refreshing beverage. Unable to ignore the slightly too cold air conditioning, I opted to return to my cabin. I took in a pot of tea on the warm balcony and read my book with the company of the sound of pierced waves and a circulating breeze.
We dressed for dinner while listening to music. Surf and turf was the favored selection tonight, cooked perfectly. We found ourselves so engrossed in dinner conversation that we were caught by surprise when it was time to go our separate ways. We then ventured into the Royal Theater early to find a good seat and admire the ladies in their formal attire. The show started with the Cunard singers and dancers, followed by a captivating male singer who was just riveting. A wonderful time had by all I'm sure. Then straight to the Queens Ball Room, where we danced till the wee hours again.
Back in our cabin, with a pot of tea, I was able to connect with John and Benjamine, to say goodnight and catch up with the happenings at home.

Hi Catherine - it's been such fun to follow your blog. We just arrived on Kauai and hope to see John soon. Weather here is stormy and very windy. It will change later this week and we'll get up to the north shore. Feeling grateful! Warm regards, Marianne
