The flight was okay, I didn't get too much sleep as there were some movies that I wanted to see but didn't want to pay full price for.  The trip started off with "Date Night" which was a pretty funny movie, at least it was to me.  Can't get enough of Tina Fey!  After that, "Iron Man 2", so I'm all caught up there.  Two redheads in one movie, that rocked!  I rounded the movie list off with, "The Losers" and it was surprisingly good.  Danielle watched "Date Night" as well and then finished up with "Hot Tub Time Machine".  I believe she enjoyed both as she was laughing a lot while watching both.

Our arrival in Paris was bright and sunny as we walked the route to baggage claim, customs and finally the rental car area.  CDG has a fairly old airport look about it so it wasn't as impressive as some of the airports we have flown into.  Finding the rental car desk was somewhat of a chore, but eventually we located it, filled out the paperwork and made our way to the car.  For this part of the trip, our ride would be a black 5-speed Ford Fiesta!  After completing our checks, the maps all looked over and we were on our way to Normandy and the town of Bayeaux.

Getting out of Paris was fairly smooth, unlike U.S. drivers who feel that they always need to be in the fast lane all the time, French drivers know when to pull over and if they don't the car that is going faster is usually flashing their headlights.  We made pretty good time so we took a detour to the fishing village of Honfluer.

After parking the car, we stretched our legs by visiting the tourist information building where we acquired some maps of the region as well as the town itself.  Looking through the Rick Steves book, he mentioned something about the crepes at "La Cidrerie" so we decided to try and find the place and have our first meal in France.  It wasn't too difficult to find and in no time we had our food ordered and we were enjoying a crock of hard cider.  It was quite a tasty meal as well!

Next stop, Bayeaux!
