Where I stayed
What an AMAZING island! I've never been in a happier environment! Tropical weather, yellow sands, palm trees, coconuts everywhere, beautiful girls and welcoming Acai vendors *
* For those of you who are not familiar with the term "Acai" - shame on you. No, but seriously - Acai is a purple fruit that only grows in the rainforest of Brazil. It is vitamin rich fruit and considered very healthy (and natural Viagra by some).
The nice thing about Morro is that the Acai vendors are running around you at the beach shouting "ACAIIII!!" - and all you have to do is just raise your hand and a bowl of frozen Acai arrives at your lap...
Morro de sao paulo is apparently an Israeli city. One might make that mistake as about 50% of the tourists there are Israeli! This means that most of the people there learn a bit of hebrew for business, and some of them speak really well!
Hebrew menus, hebrew greetings, hebrew signs, shirts with the vendor name written in hebrew and even shirts with the Brazilian flag on one sleeve and Israel flag on the other. Amazing.
But being half Israeli is not all that is exciting about Morro. It's also incredibly safe - No robberies, no pickpocketers, no violence at all.
Being a small island - there are no roads and barely any cars on Morro, all is sandy and the "taxi" you take when you arrive is just a guy with a wheelbarrow carrying your luggage in it.
4 amazing beaches (number 2 is the most popular), green blue water and the hot sun - it doesn't get any better than this!
To add more fun to it there are parties every night and small cruises to the pink sand island and others. We took one of those cruises - that was so much fun! The boat took us to an area with clear water, just for a little swim. Then it took us to the most amazing tiny island.
So like I said - the perfect beach, great food, party atmosphere and perfectly safe! I've only seen smiles there... It seems as though the people who work there just want to make you happy.
This was definately the best beach I've ever been to, and one of my favourite places in this trip so far!
Unfortunately we had to leave it after 5 wonderful days... Now we're off to Rio De Janeiro! The most famous city in Brazil, and one of the most famous in the world!
Ciao for now...
