Today we went on a mission: get to Chicón.
Still to this day I don't know if we failed or succeeded. We went with Sao and started walking up the road I always take to the office, and just kept going. The sun was incredibly hot and it made me sort of dizzy, so we went slow.
After walking for a while, a bus passed by and we went ahead and grabbed it! So much for our trekking, but it was seriously hot.
It passed through a small village and stopped and turned around just above on a dirt road. There we walked a little ways up into another small cluster of houses, and then headed back down.
I don't know if we were in Chicón or if we hadn't arrived yet. It is also the name of the mountain, so one day we'll have to go all the way to the glacial top!
On our way back down we ran into Maria and chatted for a bit before heading all the way back down. Sort of a pointless journey, but it was interesting -- we had no idea what we were doing!
