Today we woke up to the sounds of birds singing their songs. We're in a kibbutz hotel right on the Sea of Galilee. Our widow looks out across the sea to Tiberius. Mardel decided to go in for a swim.

There is something quiet about this area. It's natural beauty has preserved a biblical perspective that can easily play itself out in your mind, thinking of Jesus and the disciples coming across the way.

The day is sunny, the sky is blue and life is good!

First stop was the preserve of the land allocated to the tribe of Dan. Lot of foliage. It is there that Jereboam built altar that drew people away from Jerusalem and began serving other gods.

Then onto Caeserea Philip named after one of Caesars child who ruled in this area. In the context of Caesar being worshiped as the son of god, Jesus chose that area to devil are himself when he asked the disciples "who do men say that I am?" And revealed by the power of the Spirit, "you are the Son of God, the Messiah". This statement and the identity of Jesus is the corner stone of our faith. God in Jesus, fully man, fully God.

We then stopped at Nazareth and visited the Church of the Annunciation. This area is highly populated by the Muslim, and feels a little hostile, but very much worth it to go to.

I am really enjoying your travelogue with all the information from the Bible accounts of what happened in those places.

These are most welcome. We look forward to seeing them. Please keep them coming. It's beautiful and fascinating. Wish we could be there too. It puts the written word into beautiful pictures. Thinking of you both.
