Turquoise Trail Campground & RV Park, Cedar Crest, New Mexico

Wow, travelled through 5 states to get here!!! Decided to have a geo-caching trip once we left Dodge City, Kansas. There's a corner of the world here where the highways run that lets you do that. It’s a bit out of the way, but fun all the same. Managed to travel through and find geo-caches in Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. Could have gone a shorter route, but Gord really wanted to pick up "souvenirs" from each state for geo-caching. Stayed last night in Dalhart, Texas. Left this morning and OMG…..saw the two most biggest cattle feed lots we have ever seen in our life. As far as the eye could see along the highway…..and the smell. Several hundred thousand animals….YCK, YCK!!! GROSS!!! Get the picture….Even with the air conditioner on it managed to come inside the MH. Did wonders for Gord’s asthma!!

This park is near Albuquerque, New Mexico, up in the hills. First hills we have seen for a long time after travelling through the prairies. Not mountains, but a change in scenery. We’ll be on the interstate for the next day or so until we get into Arizona. Hopefully Gord will feel better by then. There’s a Camping World store we may just have to stop at a few miles up the road. Gord’s “aka quilt shop”!! God forbid they hand him a basket to fill when he walks in the door. I haven’t even been to one quilt shop in the states yet. Soon!!.
