Slob-a-dob day.....new word we learned from Peter & Joan. Means time to rest and not do a whole lot of anything!!! We love the word. So that's what we did.... for a day anyway.  Being a bluegrass groupie is hard work!!! Time to re-group, have an afternoon nap (have had hardly any the whole trip, too much to see and do) and catch up on email. We paid for hard wire internet service here so now we can play catch up.

So we are here for 2 weeks. This is quite a nice park attached to a golf course. 1000 sites so lots of people, almost like a small city. There's lots of activities to do and grassy park to run Koal. Gotta watch out for cactus thorns though. Koal picks them up freqently in her pads of her feet and holds her paw up for removal....quickly!!! They even come through my crocks. Ouch!!!

Friends from Whitehorse, Jean and Hank Chillman are in a park about 2 miles away. So we have visited with them a couple of times. They have been full time RVing for 15 years. Wow!! We will do some shopping and touring about with them. Quite like this Yuma area. Less busy compared to Phoenix. Easy to get around. Wouldn't be too hard to spend the winter here. The temperatures are really nice too and amazing clear blue skys with the mountains in the background. They are a rusty red colour. Lots of nice photo ops with the colour contrasts. And there are a few quilt shops here too. Good old Martha the GPS can find them for me!!!

Hi Gwen and Gord.
Wow we know where you are in Yuma. We spent a wonderful winter there, I can just picture Hank and Jean's place.
SayHi to them from us cold Northerners.
We leave to-morrow for Vancouver, spend two days there, then off to visit my mom for her 100th.
Have fun in that great city.
Love
Mavis and Brian.
