Where I stayed
Packwood RV Park
After we got out of the RV Park from hell in Leavenvorth, we let Martha (our onboard GPS) direct us towards the coast. We made it to Packwood tonight, a cute little town in the Cascade mountains. Actually have internet here which was a nice surprise. The lady at the RV Park was like a Walmart greeter coming out of her office to greet us and welcome us to Packwood. A far cry from last night.
The ride here was stunning. Two mountain passes a scary tunnel and a magnificant view of Mount Ranier.
If all goes well, we should be at Long Beach, WA tomorrow.

Comments
I know the Packwood area VERY WELL. The University of Washington School of Forestry, has an experiental forest, called Pack Forest, right nearby. I spent nearly a whole summer there in 1970, attending field courses in forest ecology, forest surverying, and forest mensuration.
