Well, we did leave Osoyoos BC and are currently in Chelan, Washington a sleepy little town on a drop dead gorgeous lake that is around 50 miles long and a mile across. There are houses literally built right on the lake. The main industries are fruit growing and wineries. The smell of apples in the air around the town is amazing. Fresh fruit everywhere. Kind of like the smell of pineapples in Hawaii.

Last night we met a couple from Osoyoos who were on their way home from the Oregon Coast. They gave us some great ideas that we will follow up with on our trip there. Bill and Lorraine invited us to visit them in their motorhome and to make a long story short we consumed some wine and Bill brought out his guitar, Gwen pulled out her banjo and Gord harmonized with Bill singing Hank Williams classics. It was also Bill's birthday. This morning when Gord woke up he realized he had an allergy to Bill. (Bad headache!!)

We visited another winery today around 10 am and had to taste every wine they had available. The tastes are small and very good and we ended up with some additions to our wine cellar under the bed.

Tomorrow we are off to Leavenworth, WA where they will be celebrating Octoberfest. Beer will be a nice change from wine.  Of course some buxom frauliens and men in short tight leather pants should be interesting too.

We purchased a Yankee cell phone (619-729-3124) if anyone needs to call. Of course we are also on Skype and our Canadian cell phones will accept text messages when we turn them on occasionally.
