Thanksgiving Day 2010
Who would have thought we would be on the road to adventure at this time. We have stayed in Osoyoos for over a week now and thoroughly enjoyed this little piece of paradise. I think we will spend some time back here again in the spring on our way home. Temperatures have been Yukon summer like, the people are super friendly and of course there are hundreds of wineries all over the place.
Koal loves it here too with wide open fields and a lake to swim in every day. She does not like the cactus like plants here that get stuck on her pads and hurt like hell. Geocaching is always an adventure in avoiding the cactus too.
We will be heading over to the coast via US routes on Wednesday and have an interesting back road itinerary planed. That has been the most planning we have done the entire trip so far. What's up with that?
Today Gwen, Gord and Sherry visited an old friend and co-worker from Gord’s Northwestel days. George Hanson owns, operates and is the wine maker for an Estate Winery called Seven Stones. VERRRY good wine I would highly recommend to anyone travelling in this area. We had a special tour and explanation of how wine is made. Sure different from what we do in Whitehorse at U-Brew.
Happy Thanksgiving day everyone. We will celebrate with a toast of wine to you!
