Headed back to Pont l'Abbe today to see the market. Glorious sunshine for a change but still fairly cold, and we were a bit late heading out as (a) someone insisted on going for a run round the coast and along the Odet estuary and (b) the local source of all things bread-y decided not to open today, so Will et pere had a decent walk to track down a baguette for breakfast.

The market was fairly typical but a bit smaller than we'd hoped so we only came away with some exotic cheeses. It was nice to see Pont l'Abbe full of people as it was a bit deserted the other day.

Then on up the coast to Penhors - a spur of the moment decision as we were actually heading for a local purveyor of cidre and just decided to turn off the main road to see if we could find a beachfront seafood restaurant. And find one we did, excellent food and Jill, after patiently waiting four days, eventually found her plat de fruits de mer (it nearly took another four days to eat...)

Then a breezy, sunny walk along the beach where we could see the shore all the way to the Pointe du Raz. Also added to the now substantial collection of random sea-shells, crab-bits and glass fragments that we seem to be accumulating.

And finally, we tracked down the Kerne Cidrairie (we'd had some in Tuesday's creperie and were hoping to bring some home) which although in the middle of nowhere was full of people returning bottles for their deposits.

Then back home for (guess what?) a swim.

Random fact of the day? Benodet is twinned with Torpoint...
