Lee and Shane arrived on Thursday and so did the snow!  After finishing term with Christmas music in Manchester Cathedral we headed of on Saturday for Liverpool.  There was some light snow as we arrived in Liverpool.  We booked a nights accommodation in the Ibis hotel.  Good clean, spaciuos and basic room.
Rhonda, Lee and Shane went on the "Magical Mystery Tour" and I walked to the Cathedral. We met later at the Cavern Club.  Constant live music with singer/guitarists and later (in room 2) the Beatles tribute Band the Blue Meanies.
The Band was very good, 'John' was very much like the original, 'Paul' alitle bit like the original, not left handed, but a good bass player.  George looked like he may have actually taught the Beatles in their early years and I would say 'Ringo' was a better drummer.
Not a real slick presentation but lots of singing and dancing.  A huge break in the middle of two sets that was quite annoying but all in all great to be listening to the 'Beatles' in the the Cavern Club.
The next day we sat watching rain, Sleeet, Hail and Snow during beakfast.  A slow trip back to Manchester where there has been a lot more snow
