We found the site,on the coast road, fairly pricey, but an easy train journey into Barcelona, which we tried to see in a day,and probably did not do it justice. Attempted pickpocket within 15mins of arriving as getting on to the metro, ( dont wear pink shirt and Aussie hat !), Sagrada Famillia was a bit of a building site, the queue to go in was increbibly long. but the old bit, cant remember its name, was great to wander in, the las Ramblas was just busy and hot. But we found a restaurant in a quiet square and had excellent meal at reasonable price.
Late train home and then set off next morning for longish drive.
First stop Montserrat- serrated mountain- Astounding- no time to look around Monastry but short magnificent walk.
Via Lleida- spent somewhile looking for a supermarket!, and then on via, Zaragoza and Lograno, brilliant autoroute, we had decided it was worth paying tolls for this run.
