Welcome to our cabana. You have seen glimpses of it in previous blog entries; and the basic style is the same as the one we rented when we first came to Sundancer. The renovations are done and except for a few things that Dave and I are going to do ourselves it is ready to show you.

We are now further back from the ocean but it is only a minute walk to the beach. Our cabana is on higher ground and when we climb the stairs to the front deck it feels like we are in a tree house. A breeze rustles the leaves of the cashew and mango trees and the hummingbirds perch at eye level...oh yah, and the bats hang from the roof rafters overhead.

For the two of us it is plenty of space with enough room to share comfortably with family and friends.

Above the kitchen cabinets is my reverse aquarium; the fish are fake and the coral and shells are real. Every morning when I walk on the beach I usually find something to add to it. I do my best to make sure I  bring home stuff that is no longer alive and only once did a shell walk away - I returned it to the shore!
