Hello All,
After leaving the Cameron Highlands by uneventful minibus we decided to go to the Perintian islands. We stayed on Kecil island which is the smaller of the two Perinthians and it was absolutely beautiful. Not amazingly different from all the other beaches we'd been too, but we were lucky enough to be on Coral beach which is where the sun set. The skies were truly amazing, especially when it was a full moon.
The whole reason we came to the islands was so the girls could go diving which the girls did very successfully. However, as I am now an ex-diver, I thought I would amuse myself my going on a peaceful orgainised snorkelling trip! Didnt quite go to plan- on the first of five snorkelling stops, one of the girls suffered from terrible sea sickness which made me sick of the boat. On the plus side, the fish did eat it, so i got a good look at them! Then on the second stop after that i was peacefully snorkelling along a wave swept me into a rock and I grazed/ bruised myself quite badly. my guide was sleeping on the boat at this point! I thought it best to avoid the other 3 stops after that! However in the two stops I did do, I saw a Bamboo shark (harmless) and also a giant (massive) turtle so wasnt a complete waste of time! Plus it gave me an exciting story to tell the girls when they got back!
We didnt stay too long on the island (two nights), so I dont really have much to report, but it certainly was an easy place to spend a few days.
