After a one night stop over in San Francisco we went to the airport to catch a plane to Vegas Baby!! We were so excited about the thought of staying in a luxury hotel (thanks to katie, what a legend!) and maybe a spot of gambling too. The first thing that hit us when we arrived was the heat!! Although it was about 6pm it was unbelievably hot! We'd been used to chilly San Francisco and even had our jumpers on!

We got to our hotel "The Luxor" and it was amazing!!! In the shape of a pyramid and so cool, it was huge. We had to travel in an "inclinator" (not elevator!) to our floor which had 2 double beds and was so much more swish than what we'd got used to! Sweet!

We must have walked millions of miles up and down the strip, mainly at night because it was too hot during the day! We saw all the sights including the fountains at the Bellagio, the erupting volcano at the Mirage and the pirate show at Treasure Island. They were all amazing! We ate ourselves stupid at the buffet in our hotel, it was all you can eat for $20 each (about 10 quid) and there was just so much choice! We also took full advantage of $1.75 corona (less than 1 pound!!!!) in what became our favourite "casino" which was called "Slots of Fun!" It was just a shame we didn't discover it until the last day!

After 2 nights at the Luxor we moved to the hostel in Downtown Las Vegas........you could say it was slightly different!! But it was still good to get an extra day in Vegas! Sam played some roulette and i had a flutter on the poker machines but neither of us were very successful!

Liking the sound of inclinators
What are they? Can b-creative import them for people who do not love elevators?

Slots of fun sounds like a great fun place think it might even replace my favourite shop name The Codfather.
