Well, We're here and we're both fine! Since we got here, we've just spent time with family, and caught up with our washing again! We had a lovely christmas, it was quite quiet compared to what i'm used to, but James had a good one. We even had a swim and a jacuzzi on Xmas day as the weather was so nice!! Boxing day is quite big over here too so there were people in and out all day, and we ended up having a big game of water volleyball in the pool which was good fun!
We've just spent the last week or so leisurely sightseeing around the area! We popped over to Akaroa on Friday 30th, and went swimming with wild dolphins which was cool. The water was about 14 degrees though, and it was so cold that we even saw penguins swimming about in it! Akaroa is a tiny french settlement which is in an extinct volcanic crater-got some wicked photos of it, but haven't put them onto cd yet so i can't download them just yet! We've also had a look around Christchurch, which is really pretty and we went up to Kaikoura for New Year. All pretty good fun! We're going back up to Kaikoura in a few days to do some Whale watching, then We're up to Picton in the Marlborough Sounds to do some waterskiing and fishing with the family, and then we're off for a road trip trip down the west coast and then back up to Christchurch before we fly onto Fiji, but i'll keep you updated as we do everything!! Lots of love to everyopne, and keep the comments coming-they keep us entertained! Miss you all, and Happy New Year!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Happy New Year
We are so pleased to see you both looking so disgustingly healthy and happy. Glad to hear you had a good Christmas (We never doubted that you would!!!)
Your travel journal is brilliant, very descriptive and a joy to read, perhaps you should consider becoming a travel writer Gemma.
The photos are lovely, and the video worked a treat. Charlie wants you both to make a video with the two of you in it,I think she's forgotten what you look like. She can't wait to get those scissors out Gem ,watching the hair grow with interest (how sad)
Love to you both, look after each other.
