Safely home with a fairly arduous final leg. From leaving our hotel in Hanoi to arriving home was about a 20 hour leg. Although the kids didn't get much sleep at all, they held up really well and didn't disturb any other passengers.

We have all been in catch up mode and Archie slept for 16 hours straight first night and Georgia 12 hours following her 4 hour nap in the afternoon. Again they slept until 10.30 this morning so should be back on track!! We are just so happy they are healthy and Archie is at the end of a bit of a tummy bug.Typically Kyles returned straight back to work.

Travelling with 2 kids, 24 hours a day in an asian country is both bloody hard work but equally enjoyable, educational and rewarding. Numerous people pulled us up and commented on how brave (or stupid) we were!! My stand out memory of my first trip to Vietnam with just Kylie, and the first time we were to spend 24/7 together, was that we couldn't wait to get home to have an arguement.

This being Georgias' 2nd tour of duty in Nam ensured that she coped really well and will carry these memories forever. Having Girls day outs with Mum getting nails painted, sharing milkshakes, donuts and fresh fruit smoothies and riding around Hoi An like a local with Dad on the motorbike was always a buzz.

So that's my excuse for not keeping this up to date and therefore I have posted a heap of pics from the latter part of our stay in Hoi an and will post a seperate entry with a few from our last leg in Hanoi and some pics from our phone.

Excuse the numerous pics of the "Alex Perry" photo shoot, the many pics of the kids and the food pics of course. Just going through this exercise of posting the pics is already bringing back many many happy memories of a great 3 weeks.

Again we leave Vietnam happy to be home but look forward to returning. The food, people, food, culture, food, shopping, food, cheap everything, food, pampering, and food was fantastic. Mind you, steak and veggies for dinner, meat lollipops for the kids and ham and salad sangers are going down a treat along with great coffee again!!

Thank you to all for the posts and messages we received as any contact from home is great and makes this a great keepsake for Georgia & Archie and us of course.
